The perennial SEC powerhouse Florida Gators just released a short video of their newest jerseys today. The Gators are led by head coach Mary Wise and come into to the 2017 season as Co-champions of the SEC in 2016.
From the sneak peeks on social media, Florida has three color combinations for this season: white with orange and blue trim, orange with blue trim and a new black with blue and orange trim. The Gators have traditionally worn three jerseys in past seasons, however this is the first time they have unveiled a majority black version.
Each colorway features contrasting trim on the upper arm and body of the jersey to incorporate Florida’s school colors. The Nike uniforms have previously featured upper arm, usually with a different color than the main body. This year, the jerseys have the same trim on the upper arm and the sides of the body. The 2017 editions of the uniforms also have contrasting trim in the neck area.
Each jersey also has the SEC logo on the shoulder and the Gators logo on the chest. The forearms have Florida Gators emblazoned on the inside and the back has the player’s name and number. Check out the new Florida jerseys in their game against preseason ranked #1 Texas tonight at 7pm EST.
