The Colorado Buffaloes women’s volleyball team started their spring season this week by winning 5 out of 6 sets in modified back-to-back scrimmages against Northern Colorado and Colorado State.

In preparation for the spring season, the university’s official website ran a series of interviews (both video, and written) with the team’s players to get to know a little more about the personalities inside of the jerseys.

Among the featured athletes is junior outside hitter Alexa Smith, who in her first season with Colorado after transferring from Purdue played in 120 of the team’s 121 sets and started all 30 kills. She led the team with 3.17 kills/set and ranked 11th in the Pac-12 with 380 total kills.
