Grand Canyon University assistant beach volleyball coach Joseph Rohr passed away on Monday. He was 43 years old.
Rohr spent 1 season as the assistant beach coach at Grand Canyon, where he worked with his wife Kristen, who was the program’s head coach. Joseph played professionally on the AVP tour and in the NVL from 2003-2012, which included a high finish of 25th in San Diego in 2003.
No cause of death has been announced.
Prior to their time at Grand Canyon, the Rohrs coached at Cardinal Mooney high school in Florida. Joseph was also the head coach at Riverview High School for two seasons from 2014-2015, and with his wife formed COastline Volleyball in 2012.
