After just one season with the German SC Schweriner team, American Hannah Tapp makes a change to II Bisonte Firenze.
Tapp made her debut in professional volleyball on January 25th in the CEV Challenge Cup, where she helped SC Schweriner take a three-set victory over Finnish club LP Kangasala. With SC Schweriner, Tapp helped the German squad to their first league title in four seasons over Stuttgart.
In her collegiate career, Tapp earned a number of prestigious honors, including – AVCA Second Team All-American, AVCA North Region selection, Academic All-Big Ten and Academic All-District, Senior CLASS Award top 10 finalist and All-Big Ten selection two years in a row. She accumulated 328 kills for an average of 2.67 kills per set in her senior season with Minnesota University.
Recently, Tapp was called up to the USA Volleyball training camp in preparation for the FIVB World Grand Prix. Tapp and twin sister Paige Tapp, who is competing with Juncos Valencianas in Puerto Rico were both selected to the team that will compete at the Grand Prix.
For the next season, Tapp and former Minnesota teammate Daly Santana will compete with II Bistone Firenze. See the Twitter announcement below.
