Illini Networkers 34th Annual Awards Banquet Set For January 20

The Illini Networkers, Illinois volleyball’s support group, will host the 34th annual Illini Networkers Volleyball Awards Banquet on Friday, January 20, at the Round Barn Banquet Center.

Fans are invited to help the team honor its 2016 season as well as celebrate seniors Naya CrittendenDanielle DavisMcKenna KelsayAllison PalmerKatie RoustioKatie Stadick and Michelle Strizak for their hard work and commitment to the Illini program.

The 2016 letterwinners will be announced, along with the winners of the Jim Bayne Academic Excellence Award, the Sandy Scholtens Hamilton Award for Athletic Achievement, Effort and Attuitude, the Jimmy and Jeanne Seyler Top Gun Award for Best Attack Percentage and the Jess Jendryk Coach’s Award.

The event will open with a social hour beginning at 6 p.m., during which time supporters of the program can enjoy a slideshow presentation put together by Networker and team photographer Craig Pessman. Early attendees will also have the opportunity to bid in the silent auction, featuring popular Illini items.

The program will begin at 7 p.m., with dinner served at 7:30 p.m. During the program attendees will hear from players and coaches, honor the graduating seniors and see the 2016 Illinois volleyball highlight video produced by Fighting Illini Productions.

Dinner will be a buffet featuring roast pork with apple dressing and chicken cordon bleu.
