Jeff Menzel Transfers To Espadon Szczecin For 2017-18 Season

Espadon Szczecin is bringing in American Jeffrey Menzel for the 2017-18 season.

Menzel last played in Europe in the 2013-14 season when he was with Noliko Maaseik, now the 6’6 outside hitter will try his luck in the Polish PlusLiga. According to WorldofVolley, Menzel cracked the top-ten in highest volleyball spike touches for men, with a 3.65m touch height.

With UC Santa Barbara Menzel was named to the First Team AVCA All-American and All-MPSF Teams in his senior season. Menzel helped UC Santa Barbara to the finals match against Ohio State, where they ended up losing. Offensively, he led the Gauchos with 453 kills, 4.23 kills per set, 29 aces and 509 total points.

Last season, Espadon finished 12th in the PlusLiga, after falling to MKS Bedzin in four sets.
