Class of 2021 setter Paige Morningstar has verbally committed to the University of Louisville women’s volleyball program.

Morningstar is in her sophomore season at North Allegheny High School in Wexford, Pennsylvania. In 2017, the school was tops in the state and ranked 14th in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25.

On the club circuit, the 6’0″ Morningstar also plays for Renaissance Volleyball Club and the 16 Black team. According to her Hudl page, she owns a 90 inch standing reach and a 117 inch touch (for both block and approach).

She’s not the first Morningstar to commit to Division I athletics either, with Meg Morningstar a senior at Notre Dame and Piper Morningstar a freshman basketball player at Radford.

Louisville is off to a 6-3 start to 2018 and have appeared in the ‘on the cusp’ section of the VolleyMob Top 25 Power Rankings at various points this season. They also went 24-7 in 2017 with an 18-2 mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
