Italian power club Gi Groupa Monza has transferred opposite Ivan Raic fo Noliko Maaseik in Belgium. The left-handed, 28-year old, 6’7″ attacker from Croatia was in his second season with Monza, after previous stops in Turkey, France, Greece, Montenegro, and in his native country. He’s also a member of the Croatian National Team. He arrived with Monza in January of 2016.

Raic comes over as a medical wild-card for Belgium after the close of the transfer window to replace Anders Mol. Mol, who is best known for his exploits on the beach, suffered a collapsed lung that, two months later, has ended his season.

At the 2014 European Championships, representing Croatia, Raic played in 2 of the country’s 3 pool games, scoring a total of 3 points (both of which were 0-3 losses).

So far this season for Monza, Raic had only played in 5 games, 4 sets, and was without a point.
