St. Francis Brooklyn Sweeps NEC Honors with Montgomery, Rodriguez

The Northeast Conference (NEC) announced today that St. Francis Brooklyn junior outside hitter Lauren Montgomery has been named the Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week and freshman libero Kizzy Rodriguez earns both the Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors.

WKU’s Rachel Anderson and Taylor Bebout were honored with their second Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week and Setter of the Week awards of the season, respectively. Rice’s Lee Ann Cunningham and Charlotte’s Tyra Galloway were also honored.

The Texas State volleyball team swept ULM 3-0 (25-10, 25-23, 25-14) Sunday afternoon to earn no worse than a share of the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Regular Season Championship.

SEC: Tennessee, Missouri Go the Distance for Wins; Kentucky, Florida Pick Up Sweeps

Kentucky stayed perfect with a sweep of South Carolina, while Florida got back on the winning track with a sweep of Mississippi State. Missouri and Tennessee survived five setters to keep pace.

Pac-12: Oregon State Upsets Arizona State To Earn First Conference Win

#2 Stanford swept #19 UCLA on the road to remain perfect in the Pac-12. #16 Oregon, #11 USC, and (RV) Colorado all picked up four set wins Sunday afternoon. In Tempe, Arizona, Oregon State earned its first Pac-12 win with a four set victory over Arizona State.

ACC: Upsets Abound as Pitt Suffers 1st Loss; Louisville falls to Syracuse

The top of the standings remains in tact with Pittsburgh on top at 11-1 and Louisville and Florida State right behind at 10-2, but Sunday saw surprise results with both the Panthers and Cardinals falling.
