Pepperdine sophomore middle blocker Jasmine Gross brought home the latest West Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week award for her performance in week four of the season. The weekly accolade is the second of its variety that Gross has earned in her career after she claimed one last season as a freshman.
Over this past week of play, Pepperdine went 3-1 in matches at the Nevada Wolf Pack Tournament and against Long Beach State to push their overall record to 8-5. Gross played a big part in the winning week as the 6’3″ All-Conference player logged double-digit kills in all four matches.
Over the course of 14 sets in the week, the Portland, Oregon native averaged 4.00 kills, 1.79 blocks, 0.86 digs and 0.29 aces per set while hitting .404.
Some of Gross’ highlights include a 15 kill, 10 block performance in a road match with Nevada for her second career double-double. She also netted 13 kills on a .480 hitting percentage to go with seven blocks in what were both wins for the Waves.
