‘Playing For Preemies’ Set For Friday’s Lewis/Ball State Match Up

Friday’s Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association match featuring No. 7 Lewis University and No. 11 Ball State will be recognized as ‘Playing For Preemies’ night. First serve is set for 7 PM.

All fans are encouraged to wear purple in recognition of Premature Birth Awareness. Lewis head women’s volleyball coach Lorelee Smith and her husband Lewis head men’s volleyball coach Dan Friend welcomed their daughter Rae Analyn Friend (1 lb, 8 oz., 12 inches) into the world on June 5, 2016.

All ticket proceeds will go directly towards Loyola Medicine’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Donations will also be accepted. If you cannot make the match and would like to donate, please click here.
