Portland won its 3rd tournament in a row, claiming the Outrigger Volleyball Challenge with victories over San Diego State, Hawaii and Idaho inside the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawaii over the weekend.

Tournament Notables
- Hawaii head coach Robyn Ah Mow-Santos and San Diego State head coach Deitre Collins-Parker are both Rainbow Wahine alums. Mow Santos and Collins-Parker were both All-Americans under Dave Shoji and each played for the U.S. Olympic Team.
- Portland is turning heads so far this season as one of 9 remaining undefeated programs nationally. The Pilots, who were chosen to finish 8th in the West Coast Conference this year, are off to their best start in program history, 9-0.
- Portland’s Reghan Pukis was tabbed all-tournament MVP after averaging 14.0 kills per match. She was joined by Shayla Hoeft (10.0 kills, 3.0 blocks per match) and Cali Thompson (38.3 assists, 9.7 digs per match, 2 double-doubles) on the all-tournament team.
- Hawaii’s Natasha Burns earned her first career all-tournament team nod after averaging 2.83 kills per set, hitting .438 and tallying 34 kills in three matches. Her teammate Tita Akiu, who transferred in from Texas Tech, logged 20 or more digs in each match to collect all-tournament team accolades as well.
- Idaho’s Sarah Sharp earned all-tournament recognition after averaging 12.7 kills and 2.0 blocks per match for the Vandals.
- San Diego State’s Deja Harris rounded out the all-tournament squad, averaging 11.3 kills and 5.0 blocks per match for the Aztecs.
