The Purdue volleyball team is working in earnest for the 2017 season, and head coach Dave Shondell has announced the Boilermakers’ spring match schedule.

The first competition will be March 24 at Butler (7 p.m.).

On April 1, the Boilermakers will play a series of matches at the Academy Volleyball Club in Indianapolis. Matchups and times will be announced later. The Academy Volleyball Club is located at 6635 East 30th Street, Indianapolis, Ind. 46219.

Next, Purdue will face Kentucky on April 13 at Floyd Central High School in Floyds Knobs, Ind. (7:30 p.m.).

On April 22, the Boilermakers will wrap up their spring competition with a home triple-header on Belin Court in Holloway Gymnasium: noon vs. Ball State, 1:15 p.m. vs. Notre Dame and 2:30 p.m. vs. Indiana.

The Boilermakers’ spring roster is made up of 13 players, including five seniors: middle blocker Danielle Cuttino, defensive specialist Carissa Damler, setter Ashley Evans, defensive specialist Linnea Rohrsen and outside hitter Azariah Stahl.

In 2016, Purdue posted a 19-14 mark against the fifth-toughest schedule in the country and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Boilermakers remain in elite company as one of just 11 schools to advance to the NCAA Second Round 11 times in the last 13 seasons.
