Rebecca Pavan, a Canadian right side hitter, has parted ways with her Polish club, Giacomini Budowlani Torun.

Pavan was the team’s best hitter, averaging 36% positive attacks per game in the last season. In the OrlenLiga, Pavan ranked third in attacks for the 2016/17 season. Over the season Pavan also saw five MVP awards go her way. The end of the season saw Torun with an eighth place finish in the OrlenLiga.

This season was just the second that Pavan tackled the opposite side hitting role, after being a middle blocker her entire life. To further her career, Pavan made the switch, which worked out in her favor.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to @budowlanitorun for such a wonderful season. I have nothing but love and positive feelings towards my teammates, coaching staff and fans from this season. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of this wonderful team. #thankful #torun #volleyball #orlenliga
