The gap between the top two teams in the Russian Super League, Zenit-Kazan and Belogorie, and the other 12 teams continues to grow with each passing round. Although there are still 16 matches left in the regular season, Zenit-Kazan and Belogorie are clearly the class of the league and have set themselves up as the teams to beat.
Match of the Week: Belogorie 3:0 Kuzbass (26-24, 25-13, 25-17)
On paper, this was the matchup of the week as two teams in the top five faced off. After a hard fought first set, it quickly turned into a rout as Belogorie rolled to a straight set victory. Konstantin Bakun led the way with 16 points, four blocks included, and Dmitry Musierskiy chipped in 12 points. 42-year-old Sergey Tetyukhin continues to perform at a high level, accounting for 10 points with a round 10 high four aces. Round nine player of the week Viktor Poletaev led Kuzbass with 12 points.

Bakun scored 16 points as Belogorie picked up an impressive sweep of Kuzbass. Belogorie continues to an impress with their only blemish being a loss to Zenit-Kazan. The two teams will face off again early in 2018.

Two important match-ups of teams in the top six will take place in round 11 as Kuzbass faces Torch and Belogorie is set to face Ural Mountains.
