After 14 rounds of the Russian Super League, Zenit-Kazan and Belogorie continue to dominate the standings. They have built a solid lead and on are on a collision course to their January meeting that will likely determine the regular season champion. Torch is lurking just behind the two league leaders in third place.

Zenit-Kazan had quite a week as they bounced back from their first loss in 65 matches to defeat Yaroslavich in four sets. In addition, Zenit-Kazan traveled to the FIVB Club World Championships in Krakow, Poland and brought home their first gold medal in club history.

Match of the Week: Belogorie 3:2 Yugra-Samotlor (19-25, 25-22, 24-26, 25-15, 15-6)
Belogorie avoided the biggest upset of the regular season as they rallied from a two sets to one deficit to defeat Yugra-Samotlor in five sets. Konstantin Bokun led the way with 22 points while Maxim Zhigalov and Roman Danilov fired four aces apiece. With the five set win, Belogorie falls one point behind Zenit-Kazan for the league lead.
