RV Northern Iowa got off to a strong start in Missouri Valley Conference play, notching a sweep of Drake on the road Friday night. The Panthers hit .216 and had 3 contribute double-figure kill totals to secure the victory.

After Drake established a 4-1 lead in the first set, the Panthers came roaring back with a6-1 stretch. UNI tallied 5 of the final 7 points to claim the opening set, 25-21.
In the second set, UNI strung together 6-straight scores to gain control, 18-11. The Panthers remained on top from there en route to their 25-18 win.
A series of 9 ties in the third set was broken up when the Panthers used a 6-3 closing rally to secure the win, 25-22, and end the match in straight sets.
Karlie Taylor posted a double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs for UNI. Piper Thomas (16 kills) and Jaydlin Seehase (11 kills) also contributed double figure kill totals. Rachel Koop distributed 40 assists, while Kendyl Sorge notched 16 digs.

Cathryn Cheek registered 13 kills to lead Drake and added 8 digs. Caitlyn Smith posted 16 assists, while Kylee Macke logged 17 digs.
