Saint Francis Sweeps Weekly EIVA Players Of The Week

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Daniel Ford – Saint Francis (Pa.) – 6-3 – Setter – R.S.-Senior – Newtown, Pa.

R.S.-Senior Daniel Ford has been selected as the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 6.5 assists/set in a 1-1 week for Saint Francis (Pa.). Ford recorded 44 assists in a 3-1 defeat to #4 Long Beach St. and then finished with 34 assists in a 3-0 sweep of Barton. Daniel added four kills on the week while defensively recorded 14 digs and four total blocks. Ford is currently 1st in the EIVA in assists (366) and assists/set (10.46). This is Daniel’s first EIVA Offensive Player of the Week selection in 2017.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Gabe Woffindin – Saint Francis (Pa.) – 6-3 – Libero – Sophomore – Allentown, Pa.

Sophomore Gabe Woffindin has been selected as the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week after averaging 3.29 digs/set in a 1-1 week for Saint Francis (Pa.). Woffindin recorded 13 digs in a 3-1 defeat to #4 Long Beach St. then followed with 10 digs in a sweep of Barton. On the season, Gabe is 2nd in total digs (87) in the EIVA and 4th in digs/set (2.49). This is Woffindin’s first EIVA Defensive Player of the Week selection in 2017.
