SEC Volleyball Week 3 Player of the Week:

Krystal Rivers • Alabama Redshirt Senior • RS • 5-11 • Birmingham, Ala.

Offensive Player of the Week:

Krystal Rivers • Alabama Redshirt Senior • RS • 5-11 • Birmingham, Ala.

Rivers was named MVP of the Hampton Inn Crimson-White Tournament MVP as she led her team with 54 kills over nine sets (6.00 kills per set). She also contributed 7.22 points per set and seven service aces. Rivers has now moved into second all-time at Alabama in career kills with 1,710. She is now 380 shy of the school record of 2,090 set by Erin Heffner (2001-04).

Co-Defensive Player of the Week:

Rhamat Alhassan • Florida Junior • MB • 6-4 • Glenarden, Md.

Alhassan led Florida on the weekend with 1.75 blocks per set as the Gators earned a victory at No. 13 Florida State and swept their opponents in the Active Ankle Challenge. She posted seven total blocks at Florida State Wednesday, and finished the week with eight total blocks against Marshall, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Cassidy Anderson • Georgia Junior • DS/L • 5-8 • Louisville, Ky.

Anderson led the Bulldog defense, notching 83 digs over four wins last week, helping Georgia to its best start since 1993. She opened the week surpassing her career best with 29 digs against Florida A&M. Anderson then earned her fourth all-tournament honor this season, as she had 54 digs and five aces at the Bulldog Invitational. She hit the 20-dig plateau for the third time this season against South Alabama, putting up 21 digs in the four-set win.

Setter of the Week:

Allie Monserez • Florida Redshirt Sophomore • 5-9 • Windermere, Fla.

Monserez averaged 12.57 assists per set for the Gators in their four-set victory at No. 13 Florida State and the three-win weekend hosting the Active Ankle Challenge. She closed out the week with her first career double-double, posting a career-high 53 assists along with 12 digs against Marshall. Under the guidance of Monserez, the Gators lead the league and are ranked second nationally in hitting percentage (.348). She holds the top spot in assists per set in the SEC with a 12.12 average.

Freshman of the Week:

Leah Edmond • Kentucky Freshman • OH • 6-2 • Lexington, Ky.

Edmond led UK offensively and defensively in a pair of sweeps. She recorded a match-high 13 kills on .346 hitting at Louisville. She added eight digs, the second most on the team, and a trio of blocks. Against Lipscomb, Edmond once again led the way with her third career double-double with match highs in kills (14) and digs (11). She posted a .423 attacking percentage, which is the second-highest of her career.
