Serbia’s Tijana Boskovic Named CEV Female Player Of The Year

The CEV has announced their 2017 season awards that feature some of the greats that helped contribute big things for their squads over the past year.

CEV Male Volleyball Player of the Year – Maxim Mikhailov (Russia)

Mikhailov is a multiple gold medalist and has won the past three CEV Champions Leagues. He was a member of the Russian team that took the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games and is a double European champion in both 2013 and 2017.

At the Men’s EuroVolley event, Mikhailov was awarded the MVP honor where Russia took the title over Germany in five sets.

CEV Female Player of the Year – Tijana Boskovic (SRB)

Boskovic was named the MVP of the 2017 women’s EuroVolley championships where the Serbian crew gained the gold medal. Additionally, Boskovic was the bronze medal winner of the 2017 CEV Champions League with Eczacibasi VitrA.

Kings of the Beach – Paolo Nicolai/Daniele Lupo (ITA)

Women’s Team Coach of the Year – Giovanni Guidetti (ITA)

Men’s Team Coach of the Year – Vladimir Alekno (RUS)

Special award for outstanding achievement in age-group competition – Maria Voronina/Mariia Bocharova (RUS)

Lifetime Achievement Award – Carlo Magri

CEV Event of the Year – LOTTO EuroVolley Poland 2017
