Beach teams from around the world have entered into a two-day FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event in Shepparton. The event is going to take place on the weekend of March 4 to 5.
2016 Rio Olympian’s Nicole Laird and Mariafe Artacho del Solar, and 2012 Olympian Becchara Palmer, head up the competition field. Along with Australian contingent’s, teams from USA, Canada, New Zealand and several other European powerhouses, including Germany and Italy in the double-gender event.
Japan has entered in three teams in the competition.
Laird and del Solar, who played with each other at the 2016 Rio Olympics will be playing with new partners at the event. Also partnering up with a new partner is Palmer, who will be teaming up with Jessyka Ngauamo.
On the men’s side, Chris McHugh and Damien Schumann will team up with each other for the first time at Shepparton. Australia will have six teams on the men’s side of the competition.
