2017 NCAA Division II Tournament

The 2017 NCAA Division II Tournament bracket has been released with Southwest Minnesota State receiving the top seed in the tournament along with regional hosting duties.

The 64 top teams in Division II were placed into eight eight-team brackets that will compete to move into the quarterfinal stages of the competition and beyond. The Elite Eight will play from December 7-9 in Pensacola, Florida on the West Florida campus to duke it out for the title.

#1 Seeds

  • West Region – Cal Baptist
  • Southeast Region – Flagler
  • South Central Region – Regis (CO)
  • South Region – Florida Southern
  • Midwest Region – Lewis
  • East Region – New Haven
  • Central Region – SMSU
  • Atlantic – Wheeling Jesuit

Last year’s champion, Concordia St. Paul was selected as the second seed in the Central Region after they fell to Southwest Minnesota State earlier this season. Since 2007, Concordia St. Paul has won eight titles and will be looking to defend their title once again.

SMSU has never won the title but has come close before, falling to Tampa in 2014 for the runners-up position. Their first match-up will be against Arkansas Tech who earned the #8 seed in the Central Region with a 35-0 record.
