Playing in their final regular season match at Maples Pavilion, the Stanford seniors led the Cardinal to a 3-0 sweep over California on Saturday.
#2 Stanford swept #19 UCLA on the road to remain perfect in the Pac-12. #16 Oregon, #11 USC, and (RV) Colorado all picked up four set wins Sunday afternoon. In Tempe, Arizona, Oregon State earned its first Pac-12 win with a four set victory over Arizona State.
2nd-ranked Stanford showed its clout, besting 11th-ranked USC in straight sets to stay perfect in league play at 11-0. Upsets were the storyline outside of that, as Utah topped 20th-ranked Washington and California stunned 19th-ranked UCLA.
Utah and California earned upset victories over ranked opponents Sunday, toppling 15th-ranked Oregon and 18th-ranked Washington State, respectively. Also rounding out the weekend with wins were 12th-ranked USC and 20th-ranked Colorado.
Raquel Lazaro had nearly 60 assists and over 20 digs as she fed the USC pins enough to down (RV) Arizona State on a loaded night for the Pac-12.
It was an exciting Sunday in the Pac-12, as Utah, Arizona and Arizona State played their way to upset victories. 9th-ranked USC and 22nd-ranked Washington State also collected wins to round out the conference weekend.
