After completing her undergraduate program with 24th ranked Washington State, Tani Stephens transfers to Portland in time for beach volleyball season.

Stephens finished with her undergraduate program in sport science early with Washington State. She will begin her graduate degree with Portland, while continuing her beach volleyball career.

In her last season with the Cougars, Stephens picked up 136 digs as a defensive specialist, with her season-best 18 digs coming against Wyoming.

“She performed well in tournaments throughout the Northwest, and has experience on AVP tour,” said Portland head coach Brent Crouch.

During her four-year career with the Cougars, Stephens received Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention in 2013, 2014, 2015. In 2016, she was a tri-captain for the Cougars.
