After a brilliant season that saw it win its second ever Italian championship, Imoco Conegliano is set on keeping its roster strong for a chance at a repeat. One of its first orders of business was announcing on its official website the contract extension of Team USA’s Kim Hill, who had a very solid debut year with the team, averaging a little over 4 points per set on 43% hitting while also carrying the load of the squad’s reception. The team stated that in her first season with Imoco, Hill distinguished herself “not only for her performances in the field, but also for her human qualities which made her a fan favorite and one of the most important players in the squad in relation to creating a team-oriented atmosphere.”

Here is how Kim reacted to the news:

“I am extremely happy to stay in this club. My first year Imoco exceeded my most rosy expectations, everything was perfect and I fell in love with the environment, which is truly unique. I find myself very well with the team, it was a pleasure to work with the technical staff and I enjoyed a lot my time with my teammates, with whom we have created a large group. Playing with the best fans in the world who support you is really something special! I think that next year will be a great season, the team is working very hard to allow to have a strong, complete, and competitive roster to be able to once again contend at the Championship and the Champions League.”

This will be Hill’s third season in Italy. She has also had stints in Turkey and Poland after exhausting her eligibility at Pepperdine University.
