The FIVB has announced in its official website the signing of a partnership with Ganter Water, China’s leading mineral water company. Ganten will from now on supply water to all FIVB events through 2022, as well as a special athlete’s bench specifically designed for the VNL. It has also been confirmed that the Chinese company will sponsor the next edition of the Women’s World Championship in 2022. With the move, the Chinese brand, founded in 1992, will join Mikasa, Senoh, Gerflor, DB Schenker and Asics as FIVB’s international partners.

Here is how both parties reacted to the partnership:

“The FIVB is extremely pleased to partner with Ganten as together we act as one, engaging a growing volleyball audience worldwide. This is a particularly exciting time, with the inaugural edition of the VNL earlier this year showing a revolutionary way forward for the sport. We are passionate about our partnership with Ganten; they share our family values of inclusivity and respect, whilst promoting a healthy lifestyle. Ganten joining the FIVB family is a clear indication of the strength and popularity of volleyball, with another global partner joining the FIVB team to take the sport to the next level, not just in China but internationally.” – FIVB President Ary Graça

“We are delighted to be teaming up with the FIVB. Our partnership with such a highly-recognized international sports federation, and its globally iconic events such as the VNL, FIVB World Club Championship and Women’s World Championship, will help enhance our brand depth and exposure across the world. As a result of vigorous growth in our overseas markets, where the industry recognizes Ganten as the first Chinese drinking water factory to be established, we firmly believe that the partnership with the FIVB will continue to elevate Ganten’s reputation internationally. Ganten’s long-term investment in sport has enhanced its excellent brand image in the consumer’s heart. Our dedicated effort and contribution to the sport movement is increasing people’s awareness of the importance of exercise and health. This is parallel to the FIVB’s vision of volleyball as the world’s number one family sport that can be played by all ages and backgrounds, anywhere in the world.” – Ganten CEO Jingliang Zhou
