A half-hour ahead of its official NCAA Tournament Selection Show, the NCAA Volleyball Twitter account will announce the top 4 seeds in the tournament at 8:30 Eastern Time Sunday night.

The official Selection Show will take place at 9:00 PM Eastern on ESPNU. The show will announce all 64 teams, including the 16 seeded programs and all of the first-round matchups. For those who can’t watch the show live on ESPNU, we’ll be live-tweeting the teams and matchups from our Twitter account, @Volleymob.

But 30 minutes before the show, the NCAA will offer a sneak preview of the top 4 seeds on its NCAA Volleyball account. You can find that account, @NCAAVolleyball, here. The top 4 seed will be revealed at 8:30 Eastern Time.

Nebraska seems the likely pick for the #1 seed. The Huskers have been unanimous #1s in the AVCA polls almost all year and ended the season in sole possession of the Big Ten title, winning arguably the toughest conference in the nation, at least at the top.

Big Ten rivals Minnesota and Wisconsin are probably jockeying for the #2 and #3 seeds. The Golden Gophers are currently #2 in the AVCA rankings and Wisconsin at #3, but the Badgers are actually #1 in the most recent RPI rankings, with Minnesota at #4. Helping the cause of the Golden Gophers are their last two wins, which came at home against Nebraska and Wisconsin.

The 4th seeds is probably between a few of the other major conference title winners. Kansas won the Big 12 over Texas, and either team could be the 4-seed. Texas is #2 in the RPI but Kansas was higher in the final AVCA poll. Also in the hunt are Pac-12 champs Washington or ACC champs UNC.

Stay tuned to Volleymob.com for rapid-fire analysis on each of the 32 matchups announced in the NCAA bracket tonight, and make sure to enter our bracket contest, which will go live once the matchups are set this week!
