After the conclusion of the 2016 women’s volleyball season we went searching for the top plays of the year.
What we came up with is that in the 2016 season, crazy defensive plays were the main culprits to top plays. There were hundreds of great plays this past season, but have been narrowed down to the top four.
All four top-plays of the year featured a form of defense so spectacular that it stunned us all when they happened. From Nebraska’s Kadie Rolfzen being stuffed in the face resulting in a kill to Stanford’s libero Morgan Hentz picking up an incredible tipped ball that should have hit the floor for a kill.
