The second leg of the fourth round in the 2018 Men’s Champions League has concluded with a number of top plays taking place.
Coming in as the best block was Michael Sanchez Bozhulev of Arkas Izmir against Noliko Maaseik. The one-on-one block set by Sanchez gave the outside hitter no opportunities to score, sending the ball straight to the floor. Despite the team losing their match, Sanchez was the top-scorer in the match with 23 points that included three monster blocks.
The best defensive action was awarded to Jiri Kovar of Cucine Lube Civitanova after picking up a hard-hit ball that set him up for the opportunity to slam down a kill.
The best net action was given to Eder Francis Carbonera of Diatec Trentino as he stuck with a ball and was set up perfectly by Simone Giannelli to slam the ball down at the three-meter line with no block in front of him. Despite the big kill, Diatec Trentino was not able to take the five-set win over Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle.
