The spring volleyball scrimmage originally scheduled for this Saturday, March 11 has been pushed back a week, head coach Jim Barnes announced today. The Green Wave will now take on the crosstown UNO Privateers on Saturday, March 18 at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
In the event of a schedule conflict with postseason women’s basketball, the scrimmage will take place inside the Hertz Center on the north side of campus, located on Ben Weiner Drive between Yulman Stadium and the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine.
Next Saturday’s contest with the Privateers will be the first of four spring scrimmages on the slate for Barnes and his returning volleyball players. Tulane will also host the University of Alabama on Saturday, April 8, while the Green Wave will travel to LSU on Saturday, April 22 to face the Tigers in Baton Rouge.
Barnes and his squad wrap up the spring slate with one final home match against the visiting Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday, April 29.
All home contests will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m., and all scrimmages are free and open to the public.
