Two Americans sign professional volleyball contracts overseas, taking their talents to CSM Targoviste – Lianna Sybeldon and Erin Fairs.

Sybeldon played for the University of Washington Huskies as a middle blocker from 2012-2015 recording a total of 810 kills in her career and 543 blocks. In her final season with the Huskies, Sybeldon recorded 302 kills on a .450 hitting percentage and a total of 159 blocks for an average of 1.37 blocks per set. She was named to the AVCA All-American first team in 2015 as well as the All-Pac 12 Team.

This is the first professional team that Sybeldon will play for.

“I’m very happy to be here. My dream is to be a member of the U.S. team for the 2020 Olympics and that’s the reason I came here to prove that I’m worth it. I will fight for every point in every game and I will do my best of CSM Targoviste,” said Sybeldon.

Also joining CSM Targoviste is Fair’s who has played for three different clubs in the past season – Endelholm in Sweden, Maltepe in the Turkish Division 2 and Albonito in Puerto Rico to end the season. To finish up her collegiate career, Fairs transferred to Louisville from USF, where she posted 453 kills for an average of 3.87 kills per set. Fair’s was named as an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention in 2015.
