USA Volleyball Announces Peixoto And Gentile As New Board Members

USA Volleyball has announced in its official website that Dave Gentile and Dave Peixoto have been elected to four-year terms on the USA Volleyball Board of Directors, representing the Junior Assembly and the Regional Volleyball Association Assemblies, respectively, through June 30, 2022.

Gentile, who previously served on the USA Volleyball Board of Directors from 2005 to 2012, founded Mid-America Volleyball (MAVS) in 1993 and guided the club to exponential growth. It now has 28 teams with year-round activities. He is also currently the vice president of USA Volleyball’s Juniors Division.

“I couldn’t be more honored than to be able to rejoin the USAV Board of Directors as well as working with the Junior Assembly on key initiatives impacting juniors across the country. The Board has a great team of individuals who are committed to ‘growing the game’ and ensuring the national teams and all of its constituents are achieving the highest level of play and results. I am looking forward to supporting the Board’s efforts.”

Meanwhile, Dave Peixoto, commissioner o the New England Region Volleyball Association (NERVA) board of directors, is known for founding the Coastal Volleyball Club in 1989. He also serves on the International Volleyball Hall of Fame board of directors.

“It is an honored to be elected to represent our 40 USA Volleyball Regions on the USA Volleyball Board of Directors. I believe in teamwork and finding solutions to problems. With my fellow board members, we can continue to work on promoting growth of the sport that we all love. Thank you to the RVAA for their confidence and support.”
