VolleyMob’s National Beach Pair Of The Week: LSU’s Lindelow & Powers

With a perfect weekend under their belt and helping their squad to the #2 seed in the CCSA Conference Tournament, LSU’s Katie Lindelow and Olivia Powers earn this week’s VolleyMob National Beach Pair of the Week.

The duo went a perfect 4-0 on the weekend, winning their 19th match as a pair for a 19-3 record on the season. With the four win this weekend, Lindelow and Powers improve their winning streak to nine in a row.

To start off their weekend, Lindelow and Powers faced Texas A&M-Kingsville’s Madison Brabham and Morgan Broussard, sweeping the pair easily 2-0, (21-14, 21-8). The second match came to Louisiana-Monroe’s Claire Crossfield and Kori Simpson in another 2-0, (21-14, 21-13) sweep.

The duo took down Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with ease, dominating the Islanders 2-0, (21-14, 21-9). In their final match of the weekend, Lindelow and Powers defeated Georgia State’s Brooke Weiner and Natalie Wilson in three sets 2-1, (21-10, 15-21, 15-8).

LSU finished their regular season play on a 20 match winning streak as a team, breaking the programs record for wins with 22 overall.

Lindelow was honored at the conclusion of the matches this weekend as a senior with the team. Powers, a freshman, will have three more years of eligibility remaining after the end of this seasons.
