BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University athletics is sad, but proud, to release head coach Brian Goodhind who accepted the head Volleyball coaching position at Reinhardt University in Waleska, GA.

Coach Goodhind has done an excellent job serving our student-athletes for the last 6 years at Webber. This year, Goodhind and his Lady Warriors hit a milestone at Webber.  With a 28-3 record, going undefeated in conference and advancing to the NAIA national championships, the women’s indoor volleyball team has solidified their place in the Webber record books with the 2nd best record of all-time. Only behind the 1985-86 men’s basketball team that went 29-2.

In 2011, Goodhind came to Webber International as the women’s head indoor volleyball coach. In the years that he’s been here, he’s amassed a 108-67 overall record and a 50-23 Sun Conference record. In 2013, he successfully started the J.V. volleyball program at Webber. This year he was able to start up the men’s indoor volleyball program. All the while serving as the head coach for beach volleyball in the spring, until last year when he named Julianne Calcote head beach volleyball coach.

Goodhind stated: “To say it’s been a great journey here over these past 6 years would be an understatement. My experiences here at Webber have truly helped my coaching on and off the court. I want to say thank you to Bill Heath for giving me the opportunity. This athletic department works so incredibly hard. I’m so thankful and proud to say I coached at Webber International University. It was truly a blessing to have a former player, Julianne Calcote, trust in me and join me on staff. Hands down she and I were a dynamic duo and I had the absolute best assistant in the Country! To the Lady Warriors of the volleyball program, I Love You and I can’t wait to watch you kick butt this upcoming Fall, Go Warriors!”

The program has been set on a strong foundation and we thank coach Goodhind for his hard work and dedication to the Webber Warriors and we wish him success at his new coaching position. We will be doing a national search and Julianne Calcote, our Head Beach Volleyball Coach, will be interim head coach overseeing all our volleyball programs.
