Like Michael Jordan (the first time and second time), Peyton Manning, and John Elway, Blachawk Christian School head coach Lindsay Roth has decided to go out on top. Roth has announced her resignation to spend more time with her family.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Blackhawk Christian community for the past three years,” Roth said in a statement. “The players and their families have made this such an amazing experience, and have treated my family like their own,” “The decision to step away from head coaching was incredibly difficult, but I know God is calling me to give more of my time to my boys right now. I am blessed to have coached such a wonderful group of God-fearing young women.”

Roth was named the 2016 Indiana Class 1A Coach of the Year last fall after leading her small private school to their first-ever Indiana State Championship.

In 3 seasons at the helm of the program, Roth led the Braves to an 84-18 record. She spent the two previous seasons at Woodlan High School, who she led to a 50-15 record.

Roth was a two-sport star at Indiana University, where she played on the basketball team until a knee injury cost her the 2010 season she switched to volleyball. Earlier this year, was inducted into the Hertiage High School Hall of Fame earlier this year,
