The latest Mountain West Conference volleyball weekly awards are out as Wyoming’s Marissa Harmon and UNLV’s Leka Kiner-Falefa take home the honors.
Harmon, a freshman setter from Frisco, Texas, collects the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week award after helping the Cowgirls win a pair of road matches against Utah State and Boise State. Over the course of the week she logged 91 assists and nine kills, good for 11.38 assists and 1.13 kills per set. Her highlight match came in a five-set win over Boise State as she totaled a career-best 61 assists in addition to 10 digs.
While Harmon collects offensive honors, Leka Kiner-Falefa, a sophomore libero from Honolulu, Hawaii, brings home the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week. Just like Harmon and Wyoming, Kiner-Falefa and UNLV won a pair of matches against San Jose State and Nevada. Both came in five sets as she notched 54 total digs, good for 5.40 digs per set.
