After deferring to attend a university in both America or Canada to play volleyball, 18-year-old Sharone Vernon-Evans has decided to take his volleyball talents to ONICO AZS Politechnika Warszawski in Poland.

Vernon-Evans signed a two-year contract with the team expressing, “I am very happy that I have signed a contract with Warsaw and moving to the Polish league. Poland is the perfect place to start my professional career. I cannot wait for the next season.”

Earlier this year, Vernon-Evans recorded the second-highest spike-hit height in the history of the sport. The touch height was recorded at the National Training Center in Gatinearu, Canada with a 12’6.5″ (382 cm) touch.

Earlier in the month, Vernon-Evans was a part of the Canadian U21 team that took bronze at the Pan American Cup. He has also been selected to a traveling member of the Canadian men’s national team for the World League, which started today.
