After battling in the East Meets West Invitational at Manhattan Beach, Calif, the fourth-ranked Florida State beach volleyball team (4-2) heads to Hawaii this week to face some stiff competition.

The Seminoles will continue their play out West at the Outrigger Hawaii Invitational at Queens Beach. Florida State will play six matches beginning against No. 1 Southern California. The Noles will face USC on Thursday at 6 p.m. ET and then again, Saturday at 4:45 p.m. ET.

Florida State will also compete against Utah (Friday, 3:15 p.m. ET), No. 7 Arizona (Friday, 5:45 p.m. ET), No. 5 Hawaii (Friday, 9:30 p.m. ET) and Nebraska (Saturday,7:15 p.m. ET) in Honolulu.

The Seminoles will be playing USC (4-0) for the eighth time since beach volleyball became a sport in 2012. Florida State is 3-4 all-time against the Trojans, and last battled the Women of Troy in the first-ever NCAA Beach Volleyball National Championship final game. USC won the match, 3-0, to capture the 2016 national title.

Florida State will challenge Hawaii (8-0) for the seventh time, holding a 4-2 record in the all-time series. The last time FSU faced Hawaii was in the second round of the 2016 NCAA Championship as the Seminoles defeated the Sandbows, 3-2. The match against Nebraska will mark the second time that Noles will be playing the Cornhuskers (1-0) with the only meeting (2013) resulting in a 4-1 Florida State victory. The Seminoles will meet Utah (1-4) and Arizona (4-2) for the first time in school history.

In the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll, Florida State comes in at No. 4 in the polls. This marks the 14th straight week that the Noles have been ranked in the Top 5 of the AVCA Coaches Poll dating back to the first poll of 2016. The Seminoles now rank No. 5 in the DiG magazine poll, as well.
