The University of Hawaii opened their home schedule on Friday as part of the Queen’s Cup and Queen’s Sandbox on Waikiki Beach with a pair of wins. That included a pair of victories from Nikki Taylor/Ka’iwi Schucht at the #2 line and from Emily Maglio/Laurel Weaver at the #3 line. Those pairs are each undefeated at 6-0 this season.

The Rainbow Warriors’ day included a 3-2 win over 9th-ranked Stetson, who has struggled earlier this year. The Hatters also lost to Loyola Marymount on Friday, dropping them to just 2-5 this season. That includes losses to the #2, #5, #6, and #10 ranked teams in the country.

Looking ahead to the weekend, the big East vs. West Challenge in Southern California will give strong early data points in the race for the 8 spots at the NCAA title tourney in May.
