The Cal State University Northridge women’s volleyball program has added to its 2018 roster from the junior college ranks as they are tacking on Caroline Page from nearby College of the Canyons. A 5’9″ outside hitter/defensive specialist, Page will be a sophomore in the fall season with three years left of play. She is also immediately eligible.
In her lone season with COC, Page helped the team collect a 25-6 record that included an appearance in the CCCAA State Championship Tournament for the third time in school history. The team fell one match short of playing for the state title, although Page was named to the all-tournament team regardless.
In total for her freshman year, the Newhall, California native and Notre Dame High School alumna logged 252 kills (2.68 per set) on a .281 hitting percentage, 279 digs (2.97 per set), 56 aces (0.60 per set), 21 blocks (0.22 per set) and 13 assists.
Page joins Emily Burns, who will be attending San Diego State, as transfer commits to Division I colleges from College of the Canyons for the 2018 season.
CSUN concluded the 2017 season at 13-15 overall and 7-9 as a member of the Big West Conference. Their 2018 season begins against Arizona and Sacramento State on August 24. They have three returning outside hitters to join Page on the 2018 roster plus any other newcomers.
