Romanian club UVT Agroland Timisoara has announced in its official Facebook page the signing of Teodora Pusic to its roster. The 25-year-old libero is transferring out of Germany’s Allianz MTV Stuttgart. The Serbian national teamer, an European Champion in 2017, will join the club after participating in the 2018 FIVB Women’s WCH, to be held in October.
Here are her first words as a member of her new team:
“For me it is a challenge to develop myself in Romania. I will try to get the best results with my new team and improve my game. The Romanian Championship is a very good one, the level is getting bigger every year, and for me this is an important aspect of it. In addition, I have a lot of friends who are evolving in Romania. I played with Katarina Jovanovic many years ago and I am glad we will be colleagues again. It’s much easier to adapt to a place where you already know someone. I have heard that Bogdan Paul is a good coach and that Agroland Timisoara offers very good conditions for sportsmen. I also heard that Timisoara is one of the most beautiful cities in Romania. I have weighed all these things and I think I made the best decision and I that will be happy here.”
Romania has lately seen a lot of investment to its top league, specially after the country hosted the 2018 CEV Champions League Final 4, in which Alba Blaj finished second. As a result, a lot of Serbian players have flocked to the country. At her new club, Pusic will find a team that finished its last campaign in 5th place with a 15-13 record.
