Class of 2019 recruit Kathryn Kramer has committed to the Texas Christian University (TCU) beach volleyball program, with intention of signing her National Letter of Intent on signing day coming up in November. Kramer will therefore have her freshman season with the Horned Frogs come the spring of 2020.
“I liked the environment at TCU,” Kramer said in a release from her high school. “Everyone supports all the sports programs and I felt at home when I went there.”
Kramer plays on varsity indoors as a senior at St. Francis High School in Sacramento, California. Last season she had over 400 kills, while so far in her fourth year of varsity this season she has recorded 194 kills (2.8 per set) on a .264 hitting percentage, 79 digs (1.1 per set), 21 blocks (0.3 per set) and 7 aces (0.1 per set) according to her MaxPreps page.
Kramer also plays for Synergy Force Volleyball Club. Her Hudl page with highlights of her play can be seen here. In the sand she started playing two years ago. Video of her play can be seen below. This past summer she finished as a runner-up at the Girls 18U Las Vegas Beach Volleyball Series.
TCU Beach went 10-22 in their 2018 season – their fourth as a program – after an 18-8 mark in 2017.
