Russia def. Poland 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-14)
Turkey def. Brazil 3-1 (25-19, 23-25, 25-19, 25-18)
Russia is in the driver’s seat for Pool E after topping Poland via sweep on Wednesday. Brazil, who fell to 0-2 with a loss to Turkey, awaits the Russians in Thursday’s pool finale.

Russia 3, Poland 0
Russia’s Anna Kotikova scored a match-high 16 points and had help from two other double-digit scorers in a sweep of Poland.
Russia led in all statistical categories as well, topping Poland 41-28 in kills, 9-5 in blocks and 7-5 in aces. Eighteen Polish miscues also aided the winning cause.
Kotikova downed 12 kills and added two blocks and two aces. Angelina Lazarenko and Kseniia Smirnova followed with 11 and 10 points respectively. Lazarenko put up a team-best four blocks to go with six kills and an ace, while Smirnova chipped in nine kills and a block.
Natalia Murek paced Poland with 15 points, including team-highs of 10 kills, three aces and two blocks. Aleksandra Lipska added seven points, all on kills.
Turkey 3, Brazil 1
The Turkish side dominated the block 18-11 and capitalized on 32 Brazilian errors in a four-set win Wednesday.
Turkey edged Brazil 44-43 in kills and 4-3 in aces, but grabbed seven more points on blocks (18-11) and eight more on miscues (32-24) in the victory.
Tugba Senoglu, Zehra Gunes and Yasemin Guveli tallied double-digit point totals with 14, 13 and 12 respectively. Senoglu downed a match-high 13 kills and a block. Gunes added eight kills and five blocks , while Guveli chipped in seven blocks and five kills.
Tainara Lernes Santos racked up 14 points, including 13 kills, to lead Brazil. Glayce Kelly Tobias Vasconcelos recorded 11 points with seven kills, three blocks and an ace, while Lorena Giovana Viezel added 10 points, with seven kills and three blocks. Karina Barbosa De Souza also notched seven kills and two blocks.
