AVP Signs TV Deal with NBC Sports Group

The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour is coming to a television near you as the AVP and renewed its deal with NBC Sports Group for a third straight year. NBC Sports Group will cover all eight AVP Tour events on NBC and NBCSN. Additional content will be available on AVP.com as well as social media.

“We are pleased to team up with NBC Sports as our broadcast partner,” Donald Sun, managing partner for the AVP, said of the deal in a press release. “They have been involved in our industry for a very long time and their extensive knowledge about the game of beach volleyball and how to best showcase it to a broad audience is truly valuable. We can’t think of a better network to be affiliated with.”

Coverage begins at 5 p.m. Sunday with the main draw of the season-opening Huntington Beach Open. Chris Marlowe will provide the play by play announcing for all television broadcasts, with Kevin Wong, Dain Blanton and Tanith White acting as color analysts. Action in Huntington Beach began on Thursday.

In other multimedia news, the AVP will have a Spotify Station, including playlists from the athletes and also from DJ Roueche, the official deejay of the AVP tour.
