Class of 2019 outside hitter, middle blocker and right side Miguel Espinosa has verbally committed to the King University men’s volleyball program. That means Espinosa will have his freshman season with the team in the winter of 2020.

Espinosa is currently in his senior season at Southwest Miami Senior High School in Florida. Highlights from his junior year can be seen below via YouTube:

Additionally, more highlights of Espinosa’s play can be seen below via YouTube from his play at the Mojo Tournament:

Standing at 6’5″, Espinosa will join a roster that currently features three middle blockers, five outside hitters, three right sides, three RS/OHs and one OH/L for 2019. Of that group, two of the middles are in their senior year along with one of the right sides, opening up some roster spots when Espinosa arrives for the 2020 season.

King finished the 2018 season at 23-6 overall and 15-1 as a member of the Conference Carolinas – good for a regular season co-championship before they won the postseason tournament. That led to an NCAA Tournament appearance as well.
