Fayetteville Takes The Arkansas 7A State Title Over Har-Ber In Four

The Arkansas high school volleyball state tournament has come to a close and crowns five champions. The tournament took place at Hot Springs Convention Center on Saturday, October 29th.

To take the 7A state championship, Fayetteville took down Har-Ber in four sets. Haley Warner produced a double-double with 27 kills and 18 digs. Senior Abbie Kathol put down 18 kills and 16 kills for a double-double of her own. Olivia Wales picked up 34 digs in the match.

For the 6A title, Jonesboro downed Marion in three sets. Mikayla Johnson put down 15 kills for Jonesboro, while Magan Wicker picked up 21 digs.

In the 5A state title match, Valley View swept Paragould in three. Kendal Rees put down 10 kills for Valley View, while Callie Weaver picked up 11 digs.

Loren Payne led the way in the 3-1 for Brookland over Huntsville for the 4A state championship. Payne slammed down 16 kills for Brookland, also adding three blocks to her tally. Jacy Harris picked up 16 digs in the win.

Taking away the 3A state title, Paris fought past Conway Christian to take the match 3-1 after dropping the first set.

Brookland fights to take down Huntsville in a five set thriller, 3-2, 25-13, 25-27, 16-25, 25-23, 15-13

Class 5A

Valley View rolls through Paragould in three, 3-0, 25-13, 25-15, 25-18

Class 6A

Jonesboro battles to defeat Marion in three, 3-0, 25-14, 28-26, 25-23

Class 7A

Fayetteville defeats Har-Ber in four, 3-1, 25-18, 21-25, 25-18, 25-19
