Fenerbahce Leads Galatasaray 1-0 In Turkish Women’s Finals

The Turkish Division 1 Women’s finals have begun play, with Fenerbahce taking the 1-0 series lead over Galatasaray.

Fenerbahce took down Galatasaray in a three set sweep in the first leg of the finals series 3-0, (27-25, 25-19, 25-18). The first set was a battle for the two teams, but Fenerbahce took command in the next two to take the match.

To get into the finals, Fenerbahce went into a gold set with Eczacibasi that went 16-14 to determine the advancement to the finals. For Galatasaray, they won the first match in a three set sweep, but lost the second in five. They ended up advancing forward into the finals based off points.

The second round of the finals will take place on May 2 with Galatasaray hosting.
