France’s Stephen Boyer Highlights Week Two’s Team Of The Week

2017 FIVB WORLD LEAGUE

The FIVB World League’s second week of play ended, with tons of incredible volleyball having been played. In addition, many players had outstanding weeks for their teams, being named to the Team of the Week.

Stephen Boyer for France easily made the list as he took over as this week’s overall point’s leader, having put down 106 points, including 85 kills, 12 aces and nine blocks. He helped the French squad to a perfect points score, allowing them to qualify early for the Final Six.

Taylor Sander of the United States capped off his name on the list following a great weekend of play. Sander now has an accumulated 89 points in the competition, helping the American team to a 2-1 record in the second week, after falling 0-3 in the first week.

Bruno Mossa Rezende of Brazil helped to run the Brazilian offense this week, helping the South American crew to a 2-1 record on the week, with a first place finish in the pool based on points earned.

Blair Bann of Canada leads the backcourt with 54 digs in the competition for an average of 2.45 digs per set, way above any other competitor.

Srecko Lisinac of Serbia also tore up the court with his play, including 14 huge blocks for the Serbian side in the competition.

Nikolay Nikolov of Bulgaria dominated at the net defensively, having posted a World League best of 19 blocks.
