2016 Max Preps Freshman All-American Jess Mruzik has verbally committed to the University of Michigan. Mruzik is in the high school class of 2020 and the collegiate class of 2024.

Mruzik, from Mercy High School in suburban Detroit, already lists as 6’1″ tall as just a freshman, but her position isn’t yet defined on the court. As a freshman, during her high school season, Mruzik recorded 487 assists and 78 aces and was named to the All Catholic League Team as her side won a district championship.

Her Team Detroit 15s – red last year qualified for the USA Volleyball Junior Nationals Open Division, the top division of play, where they finished 4-5.

Mruzik also stars on her school’s district-title winning basketball team that finished 21-5 last season.
