Cuba’s Sergio Bayad and Diaz Nadir Talk Beach Partnership

Cuba’s Sergio Bayad and Diaz Nadir have been partners together for almost 5 years, and after an early exit from last year’s Olympic tournament in the quarterfinals, the young pair (26 and 23, respectively) are looking for their biggest season yet. So far, they’re off to a good start with a win in the 1-star event in Langkawi and a 5th-place finish in the 3-star event in Xiamen, China.

That gives them a combined $4,900 in earnings in the young season, without having played any NORCECA events, where they were dominant last season with 3 wins in 4 starts.
